40 Foot Gooseneck Container Chassis
With a length of 40 foot 6 inches and a GVWR of 67,200 lbs (30,481 kg), this gooseneck (GN) tandem axle chassis is designed for the stevedoring and transportation of one ISO 40ft container.
Chassis is designed and built according to Association of American Railroads (AAR), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), International Standards Organization (ISO), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Department of Transportation (DOT), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) standards.
The container chassis frame and main fabricated parts are made from high strength low alloy steel ASTM A572 Grade 50, having a minimum yield point of 50,000 PSI or higher. Some of the standard components include 10x20 tires on 5 spoke wheels, spring suspension, antilock braking system (ABS), and two-speed landing legs. Lots of available upgrades from radials and air rides to paint color.
