40 Foot Straight Frame Container Chassis
40 foot straight frame chassis are needed for 40 foot containers without tunnels. Some custom built 40 foot containers are being built without tunnels which makes it impossible for the container to fit a standard 40 foot gooseneck type chassis. So if you are carrying custom made containers it important to identify whether your container has a tunnel. The 40 foot straight frame chassis will carry flat and tunnel type containers 8 foot 6 inches high.
Chassis is designed and built according to Association of American Railroads (AAR), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), International Standards Organization (ISO), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Department of Transportation (DOT), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) standards.
Chassis come standard with 10x20 tires on 5 spoke wheels and spring suspension. Options include air suspension and 11R22.5 tires on 10-hole disc wheels.
